The Studio Model is a form of job-embedded professional learning that takes place in teaching and learning spaces like schools. Through structured opportunities to co-plan, co-teach, and debrief, teams can co-develop their vision of “what is possible” in instruction and engage in principled experimentation with teaching practice.

This video features Maestra Consuelo teaching dual language, Spanish & English, to Kindergartners in a rural farming community in Washington State. She connects science to the stories of the families and uses multiple examples and strategies of translanguaging as a way of honoring students and families knowledge, identities, and ways of being.
