I have used this tool to help teachers collaboratively plan a unit of instruction around a phenomenon. This unit planning guide is not for the beginner (as it doesn’t have the scaffolding of the individual planning tools), but does allow the teacher to organize the parts of a unit plan together in one document. Recommended for teachers who have planned at least one unit using the more comprehensive tools.
Since this is a planning document, I did not use it with students, but I did upload it as a Google doc and collaboratively edit it with classroom teachers. For our first experience with it, we used it to organize our ideas around a unit of instruction that was already planned. We will use it in the future to start from scratch.
